Another milestone reached!!!!

It took some doing tonight, but I have gone over 100 pounds gone!!!!!!!

When I got to WW tonight, I stepped on the scale at weigh-in. I was at 99.2 .... the leader and receptionist both said, "Oh no. We're gonna get you to 100 tonight if you have to strip!" And I nearly had to. I went to the RR, and did what I had to there. Then once everyone had weighed in, we moved a folding screen around the scale, and I dropped trou (yeah, I know: seriously TMI). Amazing what a little tinkle and a pair of pants weighs: 1.2 pounds. So I hit 100.4 pounds gone tonight.

That's 100 pounds I NEVER EVER EVER want to see again. And I fully intend with every fiber of my being to NEVER EVER EVER let them get near me again. Now keep in mind, I am still nowhere near the end of this journey. Honestly, there is no end, just a change from loss to maintenance. But as far as total goal, I still have quite a bit to go. I'm not quite at the halfway mark for my overall goal. But OH! what a great feeling.

Makes me want to wake up tomorrow and hit the Y (did I really say that? You bet!)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am so happy for you!!! I knew you could doo eet!!!

I have to come and rub up against you so that some of your will power will rub off on me. I am hoping that after I have my surgery I will be able to get back on track and follow in your footsteps.

And please add my congratulations, as well.

As long as I have a stack of oldies at my side, I'll cue up one in your honor: "Lady Willpower"

May there be 100 more. But not 200, or else Calista'll start throwing food at you.

PS: Seraphim, I think your word verification ("fckjcsn") has something to do with my parting words to the Jaycees back in Troy.

At the risk of sounding like a Spanish soccer announcer,

GOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! It took 3 years and 3 weeks, but I am finally 44% of the woman I was on May 11, 2006. When I started the journey, this day was not even in sight. All I could honestly think about was how to take those first steps to get through the first day and the first week. I had no idea how I was supposed to do 5 minutes a day of activity, when it took all I could do to put one foot in front of the other. But if nothing else, once I make up my mind to do something.......... Here it is, June 4, 2009. I am 228 pounds lighter and a quadrillion times better. I made it through that first day, that first week just fine. I did the 5 minutes -- okay, really 10 minutes, all huffing and puffing and barely able to walk out two blocks and back. Then 20, then 30, and joined the Y, and ..... got the dog and had to walk him. Then said, "I can do a 5K." And then watched my race time improve each time I tried. In losing 228 pounds, I have gained so much. I wasn't e...

Quick brag
